Regardless of your level, in each class we stress the basics necessary to build a solid foundation and grow in a healthy and productive manner.
7. I want to lose weight, can your school and programs help me?

8. What's the difference between Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Submission Wrestling?
Submission Wrestling is often considered Brazilian Jiu-jitsu without the use of a Gi (a traditional martial arts uniform). Kaminari Dojo Mixed Martial Arts Academy teaches Submission Wrestling as a unique blend of Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Judo, and Shoot Wrestling.
9. What does a typical class consist of?
So that everyone can get the most out of class, we ask that you show up about 15 minutes early to stretch. Each class begins with a warm-up and conditioning routine designed to prepare your body for the actual class and help reduce injuries. After the warming up, technical instruction begins.
How much technique is shown varies according to the instructor's goals for that particular class and to allow for more live light contact sparring or rolling. The live light contact sparring and rolling is the most essential part of every class. It allows students to practice the techniques they have learned against a resisting partner, break a sweat, and reap the rewards of a high intensity workout.
